The heart of our sessions is to provide a safe place for children and their families to experience the hope, healing and encouragement of Christ. Our program is a ground program. All activities will be done on the ground with the horse. Ground work allows for flexibility and the opportunity to pause and reflect while still spending time with them. The purpose of each session is to support and encourage every individual toward the redeeming love of Jesus. By inviting children and families to come as they are, A Healing Hope works through a variety of activities with a horse to encourage the hope of Jesus Christ.
Our founder tailors each one-on-one session to meet the needs of each individual child. Everything that happens within a session is designed to encourage healing, strength, hope, love and trust through a unique and personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Our Program
Our eight week curriculum is based off of what the Bible says about these character qualities; relationships that endure, courageous leadership, honest communication, respect, undivided focus, patience, honesty and integrity, trust.
Each session is built around a different equine activity that is planned to connect the horse and client. The equine activity will allow the client to see the character quality for the day in action with their horse, as well as beginning to start talking about how we act effects those around us. Each session will also involve grooming. Grooming allows the client to build a connection with their horse, as well as teach care, compassion, and love. Each session will also involve time spent looking at what the God has to say about the character quality of the day. Every session will build on the previous session to continue to build a foundation of hope in God.
Each session only costs $20, scholarships are available upon request.
